I Was Born to Die

Imagine a not so distant possible future, where church and state are no longer separate. The title of this stage play reveals it all in "I Was Born to Die," written by Jo Williams. Come see the hand of God work through this serious trial where a severe law has been enacted by the government that prohibits all churches from worshiping Jesus Christ! Tickets are on sale now.

This thought provoking and motivational dialogue will bring together diverse leaders from business, education, arts and community service. Our hope is to help move Athens forward through honest conversation and powerful action, addressing today’s goals of equity and inclusion. It’s Time to Talk forum offers each and every person who attends the opportunity to participate in a dialogue on racism, facilitated by trained Volunteer Racial Justice Facilitators.
“This event has inspired change in multiple cities across the county. We are proud to host this program that goes hand in hand with the social justice that was the cornerstone of Jeannette Rankin’s (the woman) advocacy and the equity our organization promotes,” says Executive Director Karen Sterk.
